This is the shocking footage showing elephants being beaten by a villager in Assam, India on December 3.

Visuals showed elephants standing in the way of the villager, so to get those elephants out of the way, the villager started hitting the elephants with a stick.

The elephant got angry and ran away.

Herds of elephants were being beaten by villagers in eastern India's Assam.

The incident took place in Dholaguri Tea Estate, Golaghat district on December 3.

Visuals showed the five-six elephants were standing in the way of the villagers, due to which the villagers were having difficulty, so to get those elephants out of the way and clear the way a boy started hitting the elephants with a thick stick. That boy hit the elephants twice.

The elephant got angry and in return, he kept running after the boy.
