A snake of common krait variety was rescued from the forest department official’s residence by a team of snake catchers in central India’s Chhattisgarh.

The incident took place in Korba city on December 6.

The visuals of the incident made rounds on the internet after the snake catcher was seen rescuing the snake from the gate of the forest department officer's bungalow. The watchman of the bungalow immediately informed the team of snake catchers on the first sight of the snake, who rushed to the spot.

The snake catcher is seen holding the snake first by its mouth and then carefully pulling it away from the gate. He then continues to capture the snake inside a plastic bottle. Snake catcher team’s head informed that a common krait is one of the most venomous snakes found in India.

The snake was safely rescued without any injury to it or any person and was left in its natural habitat.
