8-year-old Tanmay Sahu fell into the borewell in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh while playing with friends on Tuesday (December 6) evening, where officials say that he is stuck at about 55 feet in the 400-foot-deep well.

The boy has been stuck for around 16 hours as rescue operations continue to try to extract him.

Family members have camped around the boy to offer support.

8 year old boy identified as Tanmay Sahu fell into open borewell while he was playing on a field , according to locals the boy fell around 5 pm on 6th December, his friends immediately informed this to his parents .
It's more than 30 hours now that tanmay is there inside borewell , rescue operation is still underway. Local officials involved in the rescue efforts tells as soon as we got the info , SDRF teams were rushed from State capital Bhopal and Hoshangabad districts for rescue operation, which began around 2:30 am .
Local superintendent of police simala Prasad tells machines are constantly digging around the borewell , we have a target to dig till 45 feet the child condition is stable and we are monitoring him through camera .
Local journalist who are covering the rescue tells that the family members and relatives have also camped here to take minute to minute update about the rescue operation.
