Garage owner builds incredible DIY helicopter from recycled junk in Thailand
This garage owner built an incredible DIY helicopter out of recycled junk in Thailand.
Keaw Somkiat claimed to have made the contraption from spare parts in Nakhon Pathom province, saying it took five months to complete the prototype.
Footage shows Kaew wearing a helmet while seated on the skeletal helicopter, with its propeller slowly whirring to life.
The mechanic waited patiently, his head just inches under the spinning blades, but the helicopter failed to lift off from the ground.
Kaew said: 'I made all the parts by myself. I did not stay on the machine for a very long time because I was afraid I might fall from it. I will continue to work on it until it functions properly.'
