Stand up paddleboarding in the snow supporting a load of open water swimmers as water safety at Vobster Quay inland diving centre. It's a charity swim, but it feels like a Christmas Swim. The snow fall really sells it.
We have a centre operating stand up paddleboarding, but we are often asked to support as stand up paddleboards have a better vantage point to see if anyone is struggling in the water.
Tonight we did half the length, 550 metres. There were people in wetsuits, and the brave wete in skins (just swimming costumes). A lovely turn out tonight and there was good food and entertainment throughout the event. The water was 10.8 degrees outside temperature was about 1 degree.
