A dosey dad suffered an embarrassing DIY fail when he fell though a wooden board - because he was kneeling there while sawing it in half.

Conrado Bisarra Jr was cutting the board using a handheld electric saw in his home in Binganon town, Rizal province in the Philippines on December 7.

He leaned forward to comfortably saw further across the timber, which was being held up by several stools.

Bizarrely, he then stationed himself atop the wide piece of wood, which ended up collapsing beneath him as he finished sawing it in two.

He dropped to the floor with the power tool still turned on but luckily did not injure himself.

Conrado's brother-in-law, Krahm Puda, said: 'He was building a cabinet for his kid. I think he was tired and wasn't thinking properly at the time. He didn't think he would fall once the board was cut in two.

'No one was with him when he fell, but the incident was caught on their CCTV camera.'
