Bakr's family has been working in the fishing profession for years, and he tries to highlight their suffering from the Israeli navy.
He painted a number of paintings that simulate the profession of the Palestinian fisherman, and called them "six miles" as an expression of the space allowed for fishermen in the besieged Gaza sea.
