An alert cop's vigilance saved the life of a passenger who slipped while boarding a moving train in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The incident happened at platform number two in Mathura junction, on December 11.

Visuals showed the chilling moment when the female passenger, later identified as Mishita Agarwal slipped and fell on the platform while trying to get on the moving train (number 14317). The woman could have fallen into the gap between the train and the platform and been the victim of a serious accident.

Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable Somveer, who was posted on duty at the spot, immediately rushed to her aid and pulled her out to safety. Other people too were seen running to the spot where the woman had fallen.
