In St. Petersburg, two activists of the anti-cosmetics movement poured cream on a replica (copy or simplified version of the original) of Banksy's painting "Venus" at the "Find Banksy" exhibition based on his work.

The administrator of the exhibition said that this was done by "two young girls of about 20 years old." The girls doused the picture with cosmetic cream from half-liter plastic cans. At the same time, they said "Do you need those ideals of beauty that you are chasing so much. Understand that all your flaws are all your uniqueness." and shouted the slogan "Stop cosmetics."

The organizers of the event agreed with the activists that they would compensate for the damage when experts determine its amount, she added.

The exhibition is held in the cultural center "Sevkabel Port" in the Vasileostrovsky district in the west of St. Petersburg. It features copies of more than 150 Banksy works, including graffiti, sculptures and paintings.
