A woman steals cloth that is being dried in a house in Indonesia. Security cameras captured the moment she was in action.

CCTV footage at a student boarding house in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra Province, shows the theft occurred at 6am on Tuesday (December 13).

Footage shows a woman wearing a white shirt and black trousers walking down the alley, then returning to grabbing clothes hanging on a clothesline.

"She stole two pants and an undershirt belonging to a student who was boarding at my place," Putri Ruri, house owner said.

According to Ruri, they had previously lost clothes that were being dried several times, so they set up security cameras to reveal the thieves.

"We installed CCTV on Sunday, two days later the perpetrators acted and were recorded on CCTV," Ruri added.

This case has been reported to the police. Boarding house owners and victims shared photos of the perpetrators on social media for a deterrent effect.

Police asked the owner to provide a safe place for drying clothes.
