Uni student hand-makes go-kart to avoid being late - royalty free music
A great video has emerged from China of a third-year college student making a go-kart by himself to avoid being late for class.
In the footage, filmed in Sichuan Province last week, a young man can be seen driving a blue go-kart-sized vehicle around the campus, among the curious stares from the surrounding students as he passes by.
According to news reports, the owner and maker Guo Ke was in his third year of the course of Mechanical Manufacturing at a university that is built in mountains. He had long been struggling to walk thirty minutes upon a hill to the class and decided to reduce the commuting time to avoid being late.
Guo spent the two-month summer holiday this year building this electric-powered transport tool at an expense of 3,500 RMB (around £350). It was reported to be able to run at over 30 metres per hour.
