An incredibly lucky Indian man was finally rescued on Thursday 16 December, after being trapped in a narrow gap between rocks in a forest in the southern Indian state of Telangana on Tuesday.

The incident happened at the Singarayapalem forest area in Ramareddy Mandal, Kamareddy district.

The man, identified as Chada Raju, had reportedly got stuck while trying to rescue a dropped mobile phone.

He was provided with food and oxygen while rescuers used an excavator and, according to local reports, even controlled blasts, to try and free him.

Eventually they got him out and his was rushed to a hospital.

According to reports, Raju had gone hunting and family members started searching for him when he didn't return by Wednesday.

A man was rescued in an extensive operation after he got trapped after falling into a huge gap in a rock inside of a forest, in southern India's Telangana.

The incident reportedly happened at the Singarayapalem forest area in Ramareddy Mandal, Kamareddy district on December 13.

Visuals showed the rescue operation underway with efforts being made to pull the man, identified as Chada Raju from Reddypet village. Another man, from the rescue team, was seen descending into the gap in the hillock in an attempt to pull out Raju. Police officers stood at the spot as the man went into the gap. A cop was seen flashing a torchlight into the area.

An excavator was used to break down the big rocks and facilitate the rescue operation. The victim was provided food and oxygen while he was trapped and a doctor was also called for him. Eventually, after a lot of effort, the man was taken out of the gap and rushed to a hospital, where he was given treatment. Fortunately, he was conscious and was seen with an injury mark on his right arm.

According to a report, Raju had gone hunting into the forest and his family members started searching for him after he didn't return even on Wednesday, December 14. They along with other villagers reportedly heard sounds from the gap in the huge rock and informed it to the police, who then started the rescue operation with the help of the locals.
