Two wild monitor lizards were seen grappling for territory outside a workers' dorm in Thailand.

The reptiles chased each other to the garage where a resident found them in Samut Prakan province on June 25.

The pair then fought to wrestle each other to the ground in a battle that lasted almost two hours.

Footage shows the creatures with their limbs locked against each other.

Migrant worker Aung Soe Moe said: ‘They have been fighting since morning. I saw them when I woke up to prepare to go to the factory.

‘I've never seen monitor lizards fighting so it was a strange sight for me. I think they fought for almost two hours.'

The defiant creatures eventually left the property when more workers arrived at the area for lunch break.
