A woman has shared her incredible minuscule Christmas grotto hidden inside a wall in her home – and TikTok users can’t get enough.

Bridget McCarty, 38, an artist from California, is well known online for making miniature TV and movie scenes in her house, sharing them with her 353,600 avid social media followers.

She recently shared a clip of her latest tiny creation, which has gone viral with 2.6 million views and 164,000 likes.

At the start of the video, you see a tiny red door which appears to be placed inside Bridget's wall, and as the camera moves closer, the door opens to reveal something quite magical.

With the song ‘A Wonderful Christmas Time’ playing in the background, Bridget shows off a hidden miniature room which has been caked in festive delights.

Inside is a tiny Christmas tree and some miniature presents, and the little room is even covered in delicate Santa wallpaper.

Those who watched the video were immediately left amazed by the creation.

One person said: "I want to go there."

"Why do I feel nostalgic," added someone else.

Another person said: "Why do I feel like I’ve been there before."

"Feels like opening the door to a 90's Christmas," someone else wrote.

Another person said: "I want to go there someday."

Although the short clip managed to catch the hearts of thousands, Bridget revealed that creating the room took much longer than a few seconds.

"The Christmas room took a few years to make, I started it and had put the project on pause a few times because once Christmas was over I moved onto Easter themes," Bridget told NeedToKnow.online.

“I spent one month worth of daytime hours working on this.”

As well as taking quite a long time to build, it seems the price of the project also added up.

Bridget said: "Every miniature item has a unique price.

"If you have a custom painting, doll or animal you could pay a couple of hundred dollars apiece.

"Building materials can cost between $5 to $10 each so this project definitely added up.

“Some pieces I collect from other artisans can be $50-80 a piece like a painting, so I try to make as many of my own pieces as possible.

“In total I spent about $500 in materials. That doesn’t include all of the labour to put it together.

"I’m definitely happy with it but sometimes I add on extras.

"My miniature rooms are on display and they definitely take up their own unique space in the house.

“I have 10-15 scenes in my house.”
