Feisty Floridian pelican goes for a nibble of selfie dad's hair and shirt
An American dad came face to face with a feisty pelican while trying to take a selfie at Deerfield Pier in Florida on December 14.
The family were fishing with their kids on the pier when the fearless bird showed up.
Fancying a picture with the animal, the dad tried to get close enough for a good shot. But the bird had other ideas.
As dad explained: "It was not shy. He proceeded to eat my hair and shirt. Or at least attempt to."
Fortunately it was just a few nips, making for a hilarious scene for the brave man's family.
