There was delight and devastation on the faces of French fans gathered in big crowds in Bordeaux to watch the World Cup final on Sunday 18 December.
The thrilling final against Argentina went to 30 minutes extra time and still ended 3-0, forcing penalties, which Argentina won.
The disappointment was etched on the faces of the local fans, despite the joy at earlier goals by their men.
