Massive object illuminates night sky above northern China bemusing locals
A massive unidentified luminous object was spotted in the night sky above Ordos, Inner Mongolia.
The video shows a large, strange luminous object rising in the night sky with a small tail at the bottom.
An official from the Inner Mongolia Meteorological Bureau said it was not a weather phenomenon.
It has not been confirmed what the object is. Some say it’s likely to be produced by the emission of artificial celestial objects, or simply rocket clouds.
Locals on social media guessed it was probably a mid-course anti-missile interception test; others imagined alien spacecraft (UFOs) might be “patrolling” the Earth.
The video was filmed on December 19 and provided by local media with permission.
