Footage shows how an international airport was damaged during a storm in Indonesia.

Debris and collapsed building materials littered the second floor of the Kertajati International Airport in the Majalengka Regency of West Java as strong winds blew through the building on December 17 afternoon.

Passengers were also seen approaching to film the destroyed section. Airport bosses later assured travelers that the storm did not cause severe damage to the airport.

Nuril Huda, Executive General Manager of the Kertajati Airport, said: 'The part of the building that collapsed was a partition made of gypsum on the second floor. There was no other serious damage.'

The affected section was planned to be turned into a prayer room, he added.

No casualties or injuries were reported as officers evacuated all airport visitors to a safer place when the storm hit.

Nuril, citing data from the Kertajati Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, said the storm reached wind speeds of up to 107 kilometers per hour around the airport.

He said: 'This incident did not disrupt operations. Other facilities, including the aircraft runway, are in good condition.'
