Nurses from Wrexham Maelor Hospital, part of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), manned picket lines on Tuesday morning (December 20) on their second national strike.

The action saw many routine services across Wales cancelled but key services such as chemotherapy, dialysis and critical care went ahead.

By taking strike action, the Royal College of Nursing aims to put pressure on the UK Government to come to the table and enter into meaningful negotiations on pay.
