This amusement park in Thailand has been dubbed an 'iron robot city' because of its impressive mascots made out of junk and scrap metal.

The free-to-enter Holy Land fairground houses towering sculptures of characters from iconic movies such as The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Superman, and the Yautja alien from the film 'Predator'.

There are even replicas of the Thai soccer team members who were at the centre of a harrowing rescue mission after being trapped in the country's Tham Luang cave in 2018.

The four-acre park sits in Samut Songkhram province, and most of its decorations were built from unused vehicle parts and left-overs from the owner's metal gate factory.

Kind-hearted owner Saksit Watcharathitipremchai has even made it free to enter as he wants underprivileged children to have the opportunity of enjoying a theme park.

He said: 'I allowed the staff to experiment with the scraps while turning them into different figures like dinosaurs, horses and tigers. I allowed them to put their heart into the work they were doing. There's a story behind every figure.

'When I was younger I didn't have the opportunity to get educated. My family was poor and we didn't have the money to buy tickets to go to good amusement parks.

'I see children who are underprivileged so I made this place free. It's been free for a year now. I want those underprivileged kids to come and enjoy this place and be happy.

'I see kids jumping around and laughing and realised this was what I wanted as a child. They look around and have all of these registered in their brain and they would want to build something of their own too.'

After marvelling at the tourist spot's various steel sculptures, visitors can also eat at a restaurant in the park. The Holy Land is open every day from 9 am to 6 pm.

1.51 Hello, my name is Saksit Watcharathitipremchai. I am the caretaker of the Holy Land

2.07 I'll tell you how this place started. We have a company that has been manufacturing metal gates for more than 40 years and there are many scraps left and we store them

2.23 This four-acre plot of land was the place we left the scraps. The scraps slowly increased. And I remember thinking how do I make use of these scraps

2.38 So we started clearing up the area to make space. I allowed the staff to experiment with the scraps while turning them into different figures like dinosaurs, horses and tigers

2.55 I allowed them to put their heart into the work they were doing. There's a story behind every figure, like this one here is inspired from the cave rescue that happened a few years back. The cave rescue was popular and it became a legendary tale around the world

3.09 I knew I had scraps from motorcycles such as the motorcycle frame. We used those parts and turned it into the cave and made the smaller version of the football boys standing inside the cave

3.24 We made a space station in the front, there's a big globe made from scraps and also a sign that says Metaverse

3.30 The Metaverse is a virtual world. It is the future. We are not there yet but there's no limit to our imagination

3.41 When I was younger I didn't have the opportunity to get educated. My family was poor and we didn't have the money to buy tickets to go to good amusement parks

3.52 I see children who are underprivileged so I made this place free. It's been free for a year now. I want those underprivileged kids to come and enjoy this place and be happy

4.11 I see kids jumping around and laughing and realised this was what I wanted as a child. They look around and have all of these registered in their brain and they would want to build something of their own too

4.19 I hear the kids asking their mothers 'what are the figures made of?' and it makes me happy. It impresses me how children are curious and are willing to learn.

4.20 We are located on the roadside. We are very easy to spot. It's hardly 100 km from Bangkok and it would take about an hour to reach here

4.42 There's a big sign outside that says 'Welcome to the land of Happiness.' Please do come visit and be happy. I ensure you would be impress with something here
