This downhill mountain bike racer had an awesome ride - with the race track taking him through a family's living rooms.

Cyclist Haimin Abdul took part in the exhilarating East Java Downhill Series 2022 biking event held in East Java province, Indonesia, on December 18.

He travelled from Malang City to participate in the contest, along with other bikers wearing black-and-white striped suits.

First-person POV footage shows how Haimin navigated the twisting racecourse that wound around the steep hillside village of Kungkuk in Batu City.

Zigzagging yellow tape cordons led the racers through narrow neighbourhood streets and alleys that took unexpected detours into tight ramps, wooden pank bridges, and even several living rooms.

Amused residents whipped their phones out and watched the race unfold from the sidelines.

Haimin said: 'This sport is called urban downhill. We bike on the streets and enter people's houses, and it's all very exciting.'

Haimin managed to bag fourth place in the event.
