A motorist set fire to his own vehicle with a lighter while filling it up with petrol at a gas station in Voronezh, Russia.

It is not known why the driver decided to do this or if they managed to extinguish the flames before they engulfed his vehicle.

A curious case of the destruction of their own car occurred in Voronezh. While refueling at one of the stations, the minivan driver, for some unknown reason, decided to light up the fuel tank with a lighter. Gasoline fumes ignited predictably, and flames quickly engulfed the rear of the vehicle. The man quickly pulled the gun out of the tank, but the footage from the scene shows that the gun itself continues to burn.

What caused the strange act is unknown. There is also no information about whether the unfortunate driver could put out his minivan.
