Worst Pole Vault Accident
Footage of an NCAA Division II decathlete on a 15' pole vault pole missing the pit and smashing into the concrete on his upper back. The only thing that saved him was his head landed on the pit. He was carted to the ER in an ambulance, but remarkably, nothing was broken - just several bruised ribs and 5-6 bruised thoracic vertebrae.
