The traditional custom of “Kolinda Babo” was revived at midnight on December 23rd and 24th, 2022. According to tradition, residents in towns and villages of Pella region in northern Greece lit up huge bonfires during the night, shouting “Kolinda Babo” which means “slaughter, grandmother.”
