This year, 3 tons of sugar were sprinkled which were put in colorful packages that were dropped from the roof of the mosque. not only men, this tradition is followed by women to children who are excited to fight over the sugar when it is sown.

Muhammad Fauzan, chairman of the event, said "Sprinkling sugar is a form of gratitude for residents of the city of Padang of Indian descent for the sustenance they receive and the event is also a gathering event,".
