Thai cooks upgraded vermicelli noodles into delicious bite-size sushi rolls.

Footage shows noodles, grilled fish, herbs, and fresh carrot sticks wrapped inside dried seaweed at Sen Khun Ya restaurant in Ratchaburi province.

The traditional restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet for only 99 baht (2.50 GBP). Customers can taste their homemade sauces such as coconut milk gravy, green curry, chilli paste, fish gravy, and spice gravy.

Fruits, vegetables, boiled eggs, and cold herbal drinks are also available in the food place surrounded by the scenic view of the paddy fields.

Restaurant manager Kritsana Huadlim said: ‘The restaurant was started by farmers who were in debt with the bank. They were afraid of losing their land, so they all came together and added value to their rice by turning them into vermicelli noodles.'

The restaurant's most popular dish is the egg-wrapped vermicelli noodle and the mackerel vermicelli noodle sushi set. The egg-wrapped vermicelli noodle is served with soy sauce and pickled chilli.

Each sushi piece is dipped in spicy seafood sauce. Each box costs only 50 THB (1.19 GBP).
