An amusing custard cake crumbled when home chef flipped it off the pan.

Footage shows the failed dessert melting off into the tray, unable to hold its shape after its reveal in Chiang Rai province, Thailand on December 17.

The disappointed cook could be heard laughing in the background as she watched the food drip.

Panpilai Jaiinpan said: ‘I followed all the instructions but it still came out looking like that. I had high hopes for the custard cake. It was so funny when it melted.

‘I have been practicing my baking. Maybe I need more experience to perfect my delicious dessert.'

The home cook added her cake tasted delicious even after the amusing kitchn fail.

She said: ‘We still ate it. I might have to fix something like the temperature, but overall it was good.'
