Driver miraculously survives when train hits car on level crossing in Thailand
A driver miraculously survived when a train hit his car on a level crossing in Thailand.
The unidentified motorist was going over the tracks but slammed the brakes when he noticed approaching train in Nakhon Pathom province on December 25.
However, the white sedan did not stop on time and was dragged 15ft across the line.
CCTV footage shows the car drifting along the tracks. A shocked onlooker rain up to the car and called for help to save the driver.
A police spokesman said: ‘A three-car express train called SRT 1986 was heading south when it hit the car but the driver was not seriously hurt.'
Rescue volunteers rushed to the scene only to find that the driver had survived the severe crash with only minor injuries.
While the driver was in a state of shock, he was given first aid treatment on the scene.
