This makeup artist spends up to five hours-a-day transforming herself into celebrities and characters from film and TV in terrifying makeovers.
Abby Buehler, 18, wows her fans on social media by creating all kind of spooky looks, such as Wednesday Addams, Pennywise and even a scary Father Christmas.
She has been doing makeup looks for two years now and wows her audience with incredible shading and line-work skills that let her transform into any character.
Abby, who goes by Abby Rose online, spends a great deal of time on her looks, which can take up to seven hours per character.
Using her face as a canvas, Abby starts by using a reference for the character that she chooses to portray, from which she creates an outline for her transformation.
Abby, from Florida, USA, who did not want to reveal her exact location, said: "The hardest part of creating a look is definitely the details when painting."
"I’m a huge perfectionist, so I take my time when I create looks such as my Pennywise and Coraline looks."
She chooses to portray darker characters, that are underrepresented in the makeup world, taking her inspiration from pop culture, social media and TV.
Abby said: I find these dark aesthetic makeup looks more fun to do. It’s fun to turn into a creepy, dark character and kind of play the role.
"I don’t really have a process for choosing makeup looks."
"If I get an idea in my head I write it down, and then I do whatever makeup look from my list I’m inspired to do that day. I usually get my inspiration from tv shows and movies."
Abby is currently studying at university to become an aesthetician, and balances her studies with her career as a makeup artist.
She added: "I’ve been doing makeup videos for over two years now. Makeup is currently just a hobby, but my dream is to make it my full time career!"
"Right now I dedicate three days to makeup looks because I’m also balancing my college classes!"
"I’m always excited when I have a day off, because it means I can spend the time on makeup."
"My family and friends are really supportive of my looks and they get excited every time I post a new video."
"My family always get a little surprised when they come in my room while I’m in the middle of a look."
"My absolute favourite makeup look is my Pennywise one! It took about five hours - but the outcome was so worth it."
"It was so fun to transform into such an iconic horror character. I really enjoyed acting like him throughout the transformation video as well!"
"I also find these scary looks more challenging, which makes it more exciting to do! I love all things spooky."
"My dream is to work as a makeup artist for a scary movie or tv show! I really enjoy being a makeup artist. I can’t see myself doing anything else."
