Two doctors successfully rescued an elderly man who fainted on a high-speed train in central China’s Hubei province after contracting COVID-19.

In the video filmed on the G1769 high-speed train that reached Xiaogan section in Hubei province, the elderly man fainted. He had a high fever and breathing difficulties. His heartbeat was weak.

Two young passengers quickly came to the rescue after the conductor broadcasted on the train to seek a doctor.

One of them did cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and the other one pierced the man’s fingertips to release some blood, a traditional Chinese rescue method. Both men’s efforts managed to get the old man out of danger.

When they arrived at the next station, an ambulance took the man to the hospital.

The video was filmed on December 26 and provided with permission from local media.
