Yellow flag waving supporters joined the 58th anniversary of the creation of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement, also known as Fatah.

The participants gathered in Al-Katiba Square, or Gaza City park, and the surrounding streets, raising the flags of the Fatah movement with pictures of Yasser Arafat and President Mahmoud Abbas.

A large number of citizens arrived on foot in separate marches, while security forces of the Ministry of Interior deployed in Gaza to secure the festival.

Dozens of Fatah leaders also arrived in the sector, including Sabri Saidam, Rawhi Fattouh, Osama Qawasmi and Fahmy Al-Za'arir, in addition to a number of trade union representatives.

The group was allowed to hold the rally by the Hamas who controls Gaza.
