Very Foggy Evening to end this first day pf 2023 on the Texas Gulf Coast
After freezing temperatures hit most of the United States over Christmas, including places like here in Corpus Christi, Texas, the new year was welcomed with warmer temperatures and plenty of thick sea fog. The layer of the thick fog settled in as temperatures here on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico began to rise once again into the 75f degree mark (29c) on New Years day. Many crowds were dampened on New Years Even and New Years Day in Corpus Christi during evening hours on both days as driving conditions were made even more dangerous as visibilities sank to less than one-quarter of a mile.
