Frightened kitten tangled in barbed wire rescued in Thailand
A frightened kitten with its body tangled in barbed wire was rescued in Thailand.
The feline jumped inside a garden but landed on the sharp protective fencing in Nakhon Ratchasima province on December 28.
Its fur caught on the metal thorns as it frantically tried to wriggle out, which caused deep gashes onto its legs until a resident found it and called for help.
Footage shows a rescue team member carefully pulling the creature off the bushes with the wire.
Supachai, a volunteer from the Sawang Metta Phimai Rescue team, said: ‘The wired had pierced through the cat's skin so it could not run away.'
The rescuers draped a cloth on its head to keep it from panicking before they cut the barbed wire using a pair of pliers.
After about ten minutes, the creature was freed and ran away. The resident left food and water for the creature in case it returned.
The rescuer said: ‘The cat wanted to bite us because it was afraid. We were relieved it wasn't stabbed too deep.'
