Massive 16ft-long python with half of its body stuck under concrete drain cover rescued in Thailand
A massive 16ft-long python with half its body stuck under a concrete drain cover was rescued in Thailand.
The wild serpent slithered inside the structure near a vegetable oil factory but couldn't slip through the tight hole in Chachoengsao province on December 29.
Workers in the nearby warehouse found the creature wriggling on the broken-down structure and called the rescuers for help.
Footage shows the team dragging the snake out of the cement hole. The other volunteers dug out soil and rocks to widen the space for the animal.
A Bang Pakong Municipality Protection Team rescuer said: ‘The drain was leading to the depot. We had to pull it out, so it didn't go further into the hole.
'The workers saw it and called us. It was safe now.'
The python was unhurt and taken by the team to be released back into the forest.
