One of Kensington and Chelsea drop-off points for Christmas trees outside St Mary The Boltons, SW10 is filling up quickly with fresh fir trees in early January 2023. Recycling Christmas trees for free helps to keep pavements clear and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea provides dozens of compost drop-off points in the South, North and centre of the borough between January 2 and January 22. Pots and decorations must be removed from the trees before recycling. Some Londoners take down their Christmas trees on Boxing Day and others keep theirs till the Twelfth Night (January 5) or Epiphany (January 6) that marks the official end of Christmas.
