This is the terrifying moment a 16-wheeler truck lost control and slammed into cars stopped at a red light in the Philippines.

Car owner Lara Legaspi showed dashcam footage of the truck crashing into several vehicles, including their own, along Bonifacio Drive, Manila.

She said: "My husband was about to take me to work when we suddenly heard a loud crash from the back and saw the truck right next to us".

"'We found out that the driver had fallen asleep at the wheel. We weren't hurt badly, but we were bruised and traumatised by what happened".

Legaspi said she and her husband have also filed a report to authorities regarding the incident.
