A shopper at the Coach store at the Bellevue Square Shops in Washington state claims he was wrongfully accused of stealing his own wallet on January 3.

Footage shows what transpired after the incident took place.

The filmer says he was "arrested" and "detained" for shoplifting a wallet that he says he'd purchased at a different location one week earlier.

The filmer told Newsflare: "I confronted the Coach employee who wrongfully accused me of stealing my own wallet. They gave me the number to a corporate complaint line and seemed not to care."

In the video, two employees are seen listening to the shopper's complaints. Both staffers are apologetic and said it was the beeping in the store that led them to act.
