This is part of the three kings Parade in Alcoy, Spain. Spain celebrate Christmas Eve on the 5th January and this is how the children have there presents delivered. Around two thousand people take part on the festive parade.
The ‘pajes’ often the childrens family member will wear the black and red outfit and a black face with bright red lips to remain anonymous when they enter the house In order for them not to be recognised by their children. Who are overjoyed to see them climbing over their balcony to deliver the presents and bring good luck. Alcoy is dubbed the city of Christmas!
