Hundreds of Londoners rode the Underground in their underwear for the No Trousers Tube Ride, which returned on Sunday (January 8) for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic.

A participant said it was his "first time" getting involved in the stunt and described taking part as "liberating".

Another mentioned she didn't think there was anything wrong with doing it. A fellow trouserless passenger added, "I think London is too serious. You need to, like, embrace chaos sometimes".

One participant said his trousers were "at the dry cleaners".

The event originated in 2002 in New York City as the No Pants Subway Ride. The London edition is organised by The Stiff Upper Lip Society.
