A baby cow frightened by loud music chased away a passing Buddhist parade in Thailand.

The calf was grazing on a field next to the road when the religious procession approached it in rural Surin province on January 1.

At first, the farm creature was calm and let the villagers pass by until it turned aggressive and darted in front of a truck carrying massive speakers.

Footage shows the animal running across the road, scaring the villagers away. It tried to attack the locals before the sounds were turned off.

Villager Bam said: ‘The cow was shocked by the loud sounds. It was friendly at first, but it ran after everyone when the speakers were closer.

The cow eventually escaped back to the farm after the loud music was gone. No one was reported hurt in the incident.
