A pregnant cat stuck on a ledge during a storm was rescued in Thailand.

The fluffy white feline was spotted on top of the 8ft-high wall as a heavy downpour battered Samut Prakan province on November 25.

A resident then called the animal rescuers to help take the creature to safety.

Footage shows a volunteer using a ladder to reach the cat and carry her off the ledge.

The resident said: ‘I have been hearing a cat crying for the past three days when I found it. The rain was hard, and I saw the cat from my window.'

The feline was fed and given food. She would be adopted into the resident's home until she gave birth to kittens.

The resident who owned a pet shop added: ‘I felt sorry for her, so I would adopt her if no one comes here and claim her.'
