Avalanche buries tourists' vehicles in northwest China
An avalanche buried tourists' vehicles at a scenic spot in northwest China.
Video filmed at Kanas Scenic Area in Burqin County in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on January 8 shows vehicles trapped in the heavy snow.
According to a worker at the scenic spot, the tourists' vehicles were stranded in snow due to the extreme weather.
Police were on site to conduct rescue operations.
All vehicles were freed, while injured people were sent to the nearest hospital.
The Kanas Scenic Area will be closed between January 9 and January 12.
