A pet Golden Retriever with a fear of heights was comforted by her owner on top of a bunk bed.

The one-year-old pooch named Caramel was brave enough to climb the loft to play in Manila, the Philippines on December 21.

But when Caramel realised she had been 7ft-above the ground, the scared pooch stuck to her owner Cyrus Arriza.

Footage shows the acrophobic pet dog locked in Cyrus' arms. They turned off the lights to see if it would take away the dogs' fears but she remained stiff beside her owner.

Cyrus said: ‘It was taken in our room She can easily climb up the loft with no issues but she can get extremely scared and shaking on her way down.'

In the end, Cyrus had to carry the dog down while his palms covered Caramel's eyes.

Cyrus added: ‘I had to help her as she could not do it on her own. She felt less scared when I was covering her eyes.'
