Moving to a whole different continent and living away from your parents can be quite tough, especially during the holiday season. But luckily for Alex Parke, her family had no intention of leaving their princess alone on Christmas.

This soul-stirring video features Alex being surprised by her parents on Christmas morning (2022), eight months after she last saw them.

She bursts into tears the moment she feels the warmth of her mom's hug after having craved it for nearly a year. There's no doubt she'll cherish this unexpected moment forever.

"I’ve been living in Canada with a friend for eight months," Alex told WooGlobe. "I've been very homesick & my mum and stepdad surprised me on Christmas morning by traveling from Ireland all the way to Canada. I didn’t have a clue. It was amazing!"
