A man deliberately smashed his car into a hotel lobby after having an argument with the staff in eastern China.

Video filmed in Shanghai on January 10 shows a man driving his Audi into the lobby of Zijinshan Hotel and deliberately damaging the facilities there.

According to reports, the car owner Mr Chen said that he lost his laptop in the hotel and had an argument with the employees. He then smashed his car into the lobby.

No one was injured. Chen has been arrested by the police and the case is under further investigation.

1月10日，上海浦东新区金陵紫金山大酒店内，一男子因与酒店发生纠纷，竟开着奥迪直接冲撞酒店大堂。从视频里看到，这辆白色奥迪先冲撞酒店大门，开进酒店大厅后，能看到车子右侧撞坏，车子在大厅稍作停留后，掉头撞倒一架钢琴后再顶到大厅内的柱子一侧。
当地警方通报，1月10日11时20分许，一辆小客车驶入东方路一酒店大堂。经初步调查，肇事司机陈某（男，28岁）自称因在住店期间遗失笔记本电脑与酒店发生纠纷，后驾车驶入酒店大堂。该事件未造成人员受伤。目前，陈某已被警方控制，相关情况在进一步调查中。
律师表示，该男子因与酒店发生纠纷，便开车故意冲撞酒店大堂，造成酒店内部分设施损毁，涉嫌故意毁坏财物罪，应当承担相应的刑事责任。
