Chinese woman catches seagull and poses for photos with it
A woman was recorded catching a seagull and posing for photos with it in southwestern China.
Video filmed in the city of Kunming in Yunnan Province on January 4 shows a woman holding the bird in her hand while a man took pictures of her.
According to a witness Mr He, he attempted to stop the woman, but instead of letting the seagull go, she gave him a bad attitude.
The woman did not let the bird fly away until she finished taking photos.
Zhang Qiang, the head of the Dianwei Security Company, which manages the Haigeng Dam, said in order to prevent people from catching seagulls during the gull-watching season, they have set up a team of 30 security guards and a camera crew of 30 to stop inappropriate actions every day.
According to reports, the relevant department is investigating the case.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
