A sculpture of 93-year-old Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is now looming over the facade of Louis Vuitton's Champs-Elysees store.

Footage from January 11 shows the building covered in polka dots, a style the artist is known for, during Kusama's collaboration with the French fashion company.

THE FACADE IN THE COLORS OF THE ARTIST

It's a real explosion of colors! Louis Vuitton transformed the façade of its Champs-Elysées boutique at the start of 2023. Polka dots in red, blue, yellow, green or white appeared alongside a strange and monumental silhouette with red hair, like clinging to the top of the building. These installations come to celebrate the new collection of the luxury leather goods brand in collaboration with Yayoi Kusama. This collection, called “Creating Infinity” was released on January 5th. This is the second collaboration between Louis Vuitton and the Japanese artist, ten years after the first. This 93-year-old visual artist – represented on the facade by the huge doll – is known for her works made up of polka dots and pumpkins in primary colors.
