This is the spectacular moment a footballer scored a wonder goal in the second tier of the Cambodian league.

Brazillian midfielder Bruno Wellington Krenkel, 23, tricked two defenders with a sublime step over before curling a long-range shot into the top corner.

The incredible goal sent the handful of supporters into a frenzy during the clash between Nexstep FC and Prey Veng at the Siem Reap Stadium in July last year.

Bruno said his team lost the game 4-2 but what everyone remembered was his wonder goal.

He added: 'I received a video of the goal in early December. I remember my heart was beating so fast. Before I began my career with Nexstep, I wrote that ‘I want to do a lot of great things in Cambodia with the Nexstep club' and I know it may be difficult, but nothing can be overcome without effort.

'Once in a while, a goal can change your life. For many people, this goal meant nothing, but for me it confirmed my faith. The night before the match, I knelt and prayed to God to let me accomplish a great thing.

'When I woke up, everything seemed unusual. I realised what I had done after I scored the goal and the effort it took to make it. Many may forget me, but God has not.'
