Israeli forces demolish two Palestinian houses in a-Baqa'a village, southern West Bank city of Hebron, today (January 11). Both properties, under construction, belonged to Azzam Jaber and his family.

The footage shows a desperate woman crying and shouting outside the building as the bulldozer reduces it to rubble.

According to local sources, the area has become the target of Israeli demolitions to make room for new settlements.

Recently, a large number of demolitions have been reported in occupied territories near Jerusalem, Jericho, and Salfit.

STORYLINE:

Israeli forces escorted a bulldozer into the area, where the heavy machinery tore down a three-storey under-construction house belonging to Azzam Jaber and his family.

The soldiers also demolished the walls and foundations of another house that the Jaber family was building at the site of a former house torn down in July 2022.

The area has become a frequent target of settler attacks, home and property demolitions, agricultural land razing as a means to forcibly displace the indigenous Palestinian inhabitants and make room for colonial settlement expansion.
