Chinese woman falls off bus and gets injured as driver sets off without closing doors
A woman fell off a bus and got injured after the driver set off without closing the doors in central China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Huangshi in Hubei Province on January 8 shows a woman carrying up her trolley as she was about to get off a bus.
However, the bus suddenly moved forward with the doors open. The woman did not realise it and stepped off the bus. She then fell over onto the road.
Fortunately, the woman only suffered minor injuries and she has almost recovered.
Ji Qiang, the CEO of Huangshi Bus Group Co. LTD said, they sent the woman to hospital immediately after the incident happened and have already compensated and apologised to her.
Ji said: "The driver needs to take responsibility for sure as he did not pay attention while driving. We are still investigating if the doors were faulty on the bus. We will decide how to punish the driver after the result is out."
